Medium to large beefsteak shaped tomatoes with an interesting color that is classified as 'black/orange'. The fruits have orange flesh with a touch of green, and orange skin with dark olive green shoulders. The fruits are juicy and quite fleshy, with few seeds. The flavour is sweet, rich, and rather unique, sometimes described as smokey. Plants can grow up to 4 feet, and fruit is in the range of 8-16oz so you can expect some nice big tomatoes.

Uluru Ochre is a Dwarf Tomato Project variety that was introduced in 2015. It originated as a cross made by Patrina Nuske Small between Orange Heirloom and Rosella Purple, which was named Rosy. It was from this line that Patrina selected and named Uluru Ochre. In addition to Patrina, stabilization work for this variety was done by Sue Baily, Ginny Bishton, Linda Black, Paul Fish, Amanda Fischer, Lurley Hernandez, Craig LeHoullier, Ted Maiden, Marla McClaren, Steve McClaren, Bill Minkey, Lisa Moore, Simone Pennig, Dee Sackett, Sherry Shiesl, Patrick Sullivan, and Sandra Tipton.
