Shaped like a large roma tomato with dark green stripes on light green skin, and green flesh. They're still green at the eating stage, but develop a bit of a yellow hue as they ripen. The fruits are firm and juicy, weighing in around a quarter pound or more. The plants can approach three feet in height and will benefit from some support if you're so inclined, but I just keep them well pruned and let them sprawl on the ground.
A Dwarf Tomato Project variety, Saucy Mary was selected by Craig LeHoullier from the Kiwi family, who named it after his wife Susan's Aunt Mary Kelly. Project members who helped with selection and stabilization include Robin Bort, Bill Burke, Steve Carey, Nicole Diana, Dan Follett, Patricia Hippeli, Peter Knight, Donna Marie Kudrak, Chris Mauchline, and Bill Yoder, with Bill Minkey producing seed for the initial release. Introduced in 2018 by the Victory Seed Company and Tatiana's TOMATObase.
