Italian heirloom. Early, sweet red pepper with flavourful thin-walled three-lobed fruits that are 4-6" long and about 2" wide. Sturdy plants produce very heavily, and keep going until frost. Neapolitan seems to have disappeared from the trade at some point, but I feel like it's just a matter of time before it becomes popular again. What a great pepper!
Our original seed sample came from The Victory Seed Company - they traced its origins to the William Henry Maule Seed Co. who introduced it in 1904 after acquiring seed from a small Italian settlement in South Jersey.
