Perennial in Zones 3-10

Uniform, 12" tall plants with edible purple flowers. An essential herb garden plant, and very popular with pollinators and beneficial insects. These hardy plants do well with minimal attention and can succeed in full sun or partly shaded locations. You may see some flowers in the first year, but being perennial they typically appear in the second year of growth and every year thereafter. Useful both as a food plant and an ornamental, these are some of my favourite flowers in the garden.
